Kate's fingers tripped lightly over the piano. The melody was simple, but the notebook beside her held complex looking scribblings, the makings of a guitar and drum part, as well as the words that came from her lips. "I've always been the kind of girl, that hid my face. So afraid to tell the world, what I've got to say."Her hands stumbled over the last few notes on the keys, causing her to loose her place in the music. Sighing, she started over. The lyrics she'd written the night previously weren't fitting into the melody as well as she'd like. Once again, she got as far as the first two verses before confusing notes and lyrics. Frustrated, Kate stood abruptly and took the notebook in her hands, walking away from the piano, she turned away from the door and studied her words for a moment before closing her eyes and singing. "I've always been the kind of girl, that hid my face. So afraid to tell the world, what I've got to say. But I have this dream, right inside of me. I'm gonna let it show, its time, to let you know. To let you know. This is real, this is me, I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be now, Im gonna let the light, shine on me."As she continued, occasionally glancing down at the lyrics written on the paper before her, Kate allowed the music to flow through her, thinking of the melody and how to fit it on the piano, completely lost to the outside world. --- ooc- anyone's welcome. the song she's playing it This Is Me from Camp Rock. but in this alternate online rp, its her own original song xD wearing: thisword count: 1716 listening to: every time you lie, demi lovato

KAYLA marie BANDY++JACKY holster BUKRIE OOC: sorry for the double... I need to rp with Kayla, but I wanted her at a different time, SO, I'm getting both X3
Kayla came in, feeling quite herself in the music room of... music. Actually, the more herself, she was lost. She was trying to find her new class of Speech (who would have actually known you have to take speech for Even Planning major?). Well, she was lost, and she 'followed her heart' which was basically following the music she heard. So, walking into the room, she realized how good it sounded, and a twing of jealousy hit her. Kayla was always jealous of just about everything, since she sucked at everything... besides being Kayla. That, no one could possibly beat. Though, that wasn't exactally a good thing.
Kayla was a full out bitchy person, though she may not know it. To herself, she was normal, and everyone else was stupid. But thats what made Kayla, Ms. Kayla Bandy. Putting her hands to her ears, she made a face and yelled, "Who is making that god awful noise?!"
It was a lie, but Kayla was good at those types of lies, since in her eyes, it was true. She found the source. A pretty girl with wide lips, long brown hair, and a complection that made Kayla want to gag. "Wow, no offense, but you should maybe not sing." She told her, leaning on some wall near her. "I didn't think so." A boy called from behind Kayla. The sound of a male's voice made Kayla's head jerk. She gave one of her plastic suppose-to-be flirty smiles at the boy, though she did not know him. He came in, his hair up and wild, wearing a white shirt with a black skeleton with wings on it. In his hands was what seemed like a very outdated (or outused) guitar. His piercing blue eyes looked at Kayla once, then at the girl that was playing. "I thought it was good." Kayla rolled her eyes, "I didn't think so." The boy look toward her, shrugging, "Didn't know there was any deaf people in the school." If it hadn't been a boy, Kayla would have shouted at him, but since he was, she made a playful grin, as if he was kidding. "I'll see you later." She called out with a wink, then turned to glare at the girl once more, taking a dramatic exit. Jacky watched the platium blond girl go. Usually he didn't really mind sluts, but she was a complete bitch. Too bad Jacky didn't reach his arm up and show her the black tatoo on his arm that said in large letters, 'CHOSEN'. He turned back to the other girl, the one he heard. At the moment, Jacky was in one of his rare calm moods, where nothing seemed to bother him, and there was no regular sarcastic, or frantic part of him. He couldn't explain why he had these moods, but it seemed everyone had their calm mood. Perhaps it had something to do with his pride and joy in his hand, his guitar. Yes, that always seemed to calm him. "I don't know who she was, but your not bad at all. I'm Jacky." He said with a small crooked smile.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Kate gave a little shriek as another person entered the room, announcing her presence through loud, and rather off-key, complaining. As she turned around, her face was glowing red. Kate had never been good at facing critisicm, but when it came from the blonde before her, a slut no doubt that had all the boys all over her. Embarassed, she lowered her head and remaind mute as the girl spoke again, face flushed in shame. She was still staring at her feet in silence when another person announced themselves. Glancing up, the boy registered as unfamiliar, but vaguely attractive and definantly musical as he was carrying an old guitar. His eyes were that mysterious piercing blue, it almost distracted from the compliment that he gave her which was in turn shadowed by the bitchy blonde's insult. Kate returned to staring at the floor and glowing red, twisting her left foot so that the light reflected off of her silver heels. She didn't miss the glare that the blonde through at her though which made her turn a deeper shade of red. Kate raised her head and looked back at the boy as the other girl stalked out of the room. She offered him a warm, greatful smile. "Thanks. Nice to meet you Jacky, I'm Kath- ah, Kate."She looked back down, her notebook still clutched in her hands. When she'd come down here to practice, she hadn't exactly thought that it would be for an audience. Indeed, its what she'd come to get away from, and yet in the first few minutes of her time there she'd already been interrupted twice. Not that she exactly minded Jacky's interruption, he seemed nice enough and he had said that he liked her song. --- ooc- lol no problem. glad someone responded! wearing: thisword count: 1876 listening to: you'll always find your way back home, miley cyrus/hannah montana

JACKY holster BUKRIE He looked again at the door where the platiumn blond girl disappeared to, but back to the girl he was standing with. Ah, Kate. He hadn't heard her around the school (as it was a amazing people told you when they thought you had no friends). That and her face was still a little pink from what happened eariler. Even if Kate had been that bad, which she hadn't, then he couldn't believe someone had the nerve to say such things. Humans He thought sourly. He was proven that not all of them were like that, but there was a great majority of them. They even attacked thier own kind.
With that, just out of habit, Jacky lifted his arm, and used it to prop himself against the wall. There it showed his tattoo that was mentioned eariler, with black letters of 'CHOSEN' on them. If this girl, Kate, had a problem with Chosen, then she might want to say it now. "I'm assuming that is your own music you were playing a little bit ago." He asked. Actually, he had heard it in the hall, since the hall was dead quiet and pianos were quite loud. It stopped for a moment, only following a soft tone, and that's what brought him here. That and his pride and joy needed playing. His not-so-nice roommate would have hated it. And Jacky was already in huge shit from stealing his computer all the time.

Feeling awkward just standing there, Kate moved toward the piano shuffling through the half written music, tossing the scribbled and wrinkled balls of failed attempts in the trash can by the door. In response to his question, she nodded avoiding looking at him by replacing her book of songs on the piano. "Ah yeah, its mine. I was just trying to fit the lyrics to a tune, but its not working with the piano, and i broke my guitar string yesterday and I haven't been able to..."Kate stopped once more, slightly flushed again. She turned back to look at Jacky giving him an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I'm rambling. I'm just not used to singing in front of people yet, I have to work on it."The bold black print on his arm caught her eye as she gave him another glance over. CHOSEN was written in ink, tattooed on his arm. Kate blinked rapidly twice then gave him a half smile. She was human, but she had no quarrel with the chosen people who she knew also attended the school. Many tried to keep their powers secret, but it mattered little to her overall. --- ooc- wearing: thisword count: 1253 listening to: battlefield, jordin sparks

JACKY holster BUKRIE She defintally seemed like a shy type. That, Jacky could tell. Her voice was very soft, soothing none the less. She moved around a little bit, avoiding his gaze some, and he also took note that she turned pink eariler. Yes, she seemed shy. Then again, maybe it was just Jacky. Did he smell? He took this moment to sniff the side of his shirt. Good, he didn't smell. He always hated being by someone who smelled like they hadn't taken a shower in a week. Honestly.
Shaking his head at his own thoughts, he couldn't believe he just thought like a snob. Some people had a hard time with life. Grow up Jacky! Blinking, he started to listen to Kate, but she stopped two sentences into it. "That wasn't even close to a ramble my dear." No, it was not odd that he called her 'my dear'. He was always calling people dollface, muffin, my dear. And he actually wondered why the crowd thought he was gay. Sheesh. "Hm, same way." He said. "Well, I don't sing, but I play." He said, putting one of his hands over his guitar. This was the reason he didn't have a car, phone, computer, anything. He saved up his money and bought this instead, which was a good choice, he thought.

Kate smiled as he called her 'my dear.' She was becoming more comfortable with this new friend, and protector. Kate giggled a bit as he corrected himself, saying that he couldn't sing, but he could play. Feeling bold for an unknown reason at the moment, she sat at the piano and held out her book of music and lyrics to him. "Well since you can play, maybe you can help me. So far, I only have the melody. I need to fit it to music and get a harmony."She played out the notes for the melody on the piano, not trying to add any fanciness or harmonies, just the pure song for him to hear. If he could help her with this one, she might just have to enlist him full time to help her with song writing. As Kate finished the song, she looked to Jacky, waiting for him to comment, question, suggest or jump in. "Well?"--- ooc- wearing: thisword count: 991 listening to: mystic's dream, loreena mckennit

JACKY holster BUKRIE Just the thought of playing music made him say yes. That and he liked it when he helped people. Well, he wouldn't say that to anyone, because it would make him look a bit like a softy, but he did. Especially when he was in one of his especially calm moods, as right now. Also, it was a nice thing to get his mind off of Brook. She had been all too interesting, and hadn't gotten out of his mind since. For that reason, he wasn't sure if he liked it or didn't. He didn't like constantly thinking of another person, as Jacky never had that kind of a relationship before. But he did secretally like the thought.
"Yeah, I can help." He said with a small smile. "Don't expect me to sing." He added with a crooked smile, knowing just how much he could not sing.
