I let my guitar pick roll over the strings to hear everything. It sounded right. But who knew. I looked at the music right next to me. Simple enough right? C, A, C, A, B, D, E. Simple right? WRONG to the second power!! Jacob could play with his eyes close but when I play two notes I suck as hell! I wanted to throw the guitar across the room. I sighed. I could sing incredibly well, I have been told, yet I can’t play a note to save my life! I sighed. As I remember Jacob and me writing a song called ‘Baby it’s you’ (occ: say she wrote it!) I smiled to myself at the memory of Jacob! He was my love, and best friend. I let him slip though my fingers. I cried all night, when he left. I haven’t talked to him since that day. Mostly because I can’t make myself sound happy without him by my side. Also I heard he found a new girlfriend. Which broke my heart, I couldn’t talk to him! I remembered he taught me how to play ‘Baby it’s you’ because he and I wrote it! But I don’t know what I am playing. I just play it straight from memory. I just smiled as I started to play the familiar notes over the guitar. I almost started to tear up with sadness for Jacob. Then I started to sing which brightened me up. As I sang,

I smiled as I sang I closed my eyes so as I sang and played I saw flashes of Jacob and me. We were playing on his porch and at school.
