LISTEN UP!
Alrighty, first announcement! So now that we're open and finally done, it's time to get this place busy as hell. In otherwords, ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE! (and affiliate!) If you find a pretty site, and you think we should affiliate, please feel free to PM me the code and the link to the site, and I'll affiliate with them. Our pretty little affiliate banner is below, so if you have your own site and want to affiliate with us, please do so. There's a thread in the advertisement board for that, too, so feel free to go do that. If you want the site to get more popular, please advertise! THERE IS MOTIVE! See those lovely events that say 'coming soon' on the side? As well as the monthly awards? Those will only come if we get up to 30+ accounts. The more members come in, the closer we get to a site-wide event. And that's always fun.
There's also a shitload of new majors to pick from, to add variety. YAY VARIETY! Anywhom, if you want to change your major, just PM me. This works for powers, housing, face claim, the whole shabang. So please, go check that out. There's also been a new power called 'Dream-Walking' added as well. And as soon as we hit 30+ members, I'll let ONE PERSON have another 3-power character. Basically, whoever gets to me first. And whoever I think should have one. Therefore, no complaining if you don't get one.
Another thing I've noticed is that in claims, there's in BIG LETTERS up at the top the words 'POST IN CODE'. Buuuuut people haven't been! Now why is that? Must I make the letters flash and be colourful to draw your attention to actually read the instructions? No. So please read everything clearly and POST IN CODE!!! It makes it a hell of a lot easier to edit the claims and just copy/paste them in there. And I am not one for repetitive and tedious tasks. I get mad easily over those things. So please, if you don't want your head bit off, I suggest for your own safety you read the rules.
Speaking of rules, there's another one I have been seeing. There is a rule that you MUST have an avatar AND a signature on your account. There's no size limit, but please don't stretch the page. If you're in need of a lovely double-picture signature, or a text banner, like my account, I will be opening a signature shop for your use. Another thing to do with characters, see that little picture below the C-Box that says 'IC Chat'? That's the in-character chat, if you click it a new window will open, and you can use your characters to chat in it. Just letting you know that.
Another thing that has come up is that I have edited the application in a small, tiny manner. Right below 'Other Family' in the history/family part, there's a new line that says 'Pets'. You can have a maximum two pets, excluding people who are citizens. They can have maximum four. Now the only exception for more than two pets as a student are horses, which since they do not live in your dorm are acceptible and you can have one. Please make sure you box the name of the pet with a [*url=URL HERE][/url*] (minus stars), replacing the 'URL HERE' with a link to a picture of your pet. You have to go add this into your existing biography if you've been accepted, so do that A.S.A.P. Go check out the 'Application Example' to see what I mean.
This has been a pretty damn long announcement, hasn't it? Well, just keep to the rules, read things carefully, and have fun. Because I don't want to have to spazz on anyone just yet. And if one more person asks me for teachers, I will. There is absolutely NO NEED for them, so don't ask. Any other suggestions or questions regarding the site & plot can be PMed to me, or one of our other fabulous admins, or posted on the 'Help&Suggestions' board. Anywho, HAVE FUN Y'ALL!
Sincerely,
Hailz![/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]
